Acupuncture
Acupuncture helps by making people more effective at what they do. This is achieved by working with all the things which in the way i.e headaches, aches and pains, low energy, stress, anxiety or feeling groggy.
In the West we accept these things as 'normal' but it is actually the body's way of saying that there is something wrong.

What is Acupuncture?
According to traditional Chinese philosophy, our health is dependent on the body's motivating energy moving in a smooth and balanced way through a series of channels beneath the skin. The energy is knows as qi (pronounced chi).
The flow of qi can be disturbed by a number of factors. These include emotional states as anger or grief as well as a poor nutrition, hereditary factors, infections and trauma. When qi us unbalanced, good health will be compromised.
The Chinese and other Eastern cultures have been using acupuncture to restore, promote and maintain good health for thousands of years.
Acupuncture is accepted all over the world as a valid healthcare including the United Kingdom.
Treatment is aimed at the root of your condition, as well as your symptoms. This approach can lead yo a more permanent resolution to your problem.
The aim is to stimulate the body's own healing response and restore natural balance
Consultation
An initial consultation typically takes about an hour and a half. You will be asked about your current symptoms, medical history, previous treatments you have received, your diet, sleeping patterns and emotional state. Your pulses will be felt on both wrists and you will be asked to look at your tongue.
What Does It Feel like?
Acupuncture involves the insertion of extremely fine single use needles into chosen locations on the body referred to as acupuncture points. Where the needle is inserted, the sensation is often refereed to as a tingling or dull ache.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Frequency and length of treatment depends on your individual condition. Change in your condition is usually felt after five treatments, although occasionally only one or two treatments are required.
